You have a couple of options available to you when designing and creating your own icon font. First, you could use one of the many online services that are designed to help you build icon fonts or you can build your own icon font manually using programs that are designed to create vector art work in fonts. Since we're going to be discussing both of those options in this course I want to give you a brief overview of them. Let's take a look at the online options first. Creating icon fonts through a service like IcoMoon, which is the site you are seeing here, is a fairly straightforward process and relatively painless. In most cases the service is going to have a existing library of icon fonts That you can choose from. And that allows you to choose different icons from various fonts and mix them together into a single custom icon font.
