If you're a Premium member of the lynda.com Online Training Library, or you're watching this tutorial on a DVD-ROM, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. Inside the Exercise Files folder, which you can place on your Desktop or anywhere else on your computer you like, you'll find a series of folders named after the chapters that these individual exercise files were created in. So as we move through the course, I'm saving a new version of the GarageBand file at each stage of the production, especially during the middle section where we are working on building a song from the ground up.
We have provided one free exercise file, which is the final mixed-down version of the song. It won't take you through each step of the process as we do in the course, but for those of you who want to just be able to see what the finished version is like and work with some assets in GarageBand, that file will be made available on this course's page on the Online Training Library. If you're a Monthly member or Annual member of lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files, save for the one that we are providing, but you can follow along from scratch with your own assets. Let's get started.
