Venture into an entire world of captivating imagery and learn how to organize and share your best shots with others online. In this course, professional photographer Derrick Story guides you through the popular photo-sharing site Flickr, first introducing the Flickr mobile app, then demonstrating how to set up an account and upload images from your phone or common image editing applications such as iPhoto and Lightroom. Next, find out how to touch up and enhance your photos with the online editor, and make photos searchable with sets and collections and by assigning photos to maps. The course also helps you navigate the Flickr privacy settings and shows how to participate in the Flickr community through comments, contacts, groups, and more.
You're looking at my iPhone right now. And I just think this is so much fun. And we're going to be dealing with the Mobile Flickr app. Which I think has really brought Flickr back to the forefront. I'm very excited about it, I use it all the time myself. And we're going to be using it for mini movies now so. Get out your iPhone, and let's take a look at how this works. The first thing we have to do, of course, is sign in, so I'm just going to click on the Sign In screen. And by the way, this is the same process you'll have to go through when you first download the app and you want to use it.
And we're going to sign in using Google, but you can sign in using any number of ways using your Yahoo account or Facebook. But we'll use Google and just the usual sort of thing, all right. So we've entered our information, and now look, we're in Flickr, we're having the Flickr experience on our iPhone. So, use the same sign in, of course, that you're using on your Flickr account that you use on your computer. And what'll happen is that here on the iPhone, you're going to have an iPhone version of the Flickr experience.
And we're going to walk through all the different steps that are involved with that. Main thing is I just wanted to get you online and ready to go to into the next movie
