Venture into an entire world of captivating imagery and learn how to organize and share your best shots with others online. In this course, professional photographer Derrick Story guides you through the popular photo-sharing site Flickr, first introducing the Flickr mobile app, then demonstrating how to set up an account and upload images from your phone or common image editing applications such as iPhoto and Lightroom. Next, find out how to touch up and enhance your photos with the online editor, and make photos searchable with sets and collections and by assigning photos to maps. The course also helps you navigate the Flickr privacy settings and shows how to participate in the Flickr community through comments, contacts, groups, and more.
While we're over here in the Photostream area, I want to show you Activity. And I actually really enjoy this part of Flickr. This is the social part. So I'm going to tap on this tab right now. And there's a couple thing you get to see here. If someone comments on one of your photos, as happened here, you get the photo and you get to see the comment. You also can see if someone added you as a contact. Just basic what's going on with interactions around your Flickr account, all happen here in the Activity tab. Now of course, we manually check this by tapping on Activity right here. But if you want, you can also setup notifications, so you can find out in real time as this goes on.
And the way to do that, is go back down here to the More menu. Tap on Notifications, and you'll see it. Look at this, all these things that you can turn on, so that you can find out in real time when stuff is happening pertaining to your Flickr account. So that's in the More menu, right here. We're going to go back to our Photostream/Activity page by tapping on this icon, and there you go. And I have to tell you, again, I hardly ever check this, when they're wasn't a Flickr mobile app.
When I just had the computer and now that I have this on my iPhone, I'm following it all the time and it's a blast. So, Activity Tab on the Photostream page.
