Venture into an entire world of captivating imagery and learn how to organize and share your best shots with others online. In this course, professional photographer Derrick Story guides you through the popular photo-sharing site Flickr, first introducing the Flickr mobile app, then demonstrating how to set up an account and upload images from your phone or common image editing applications such as iPhoto and Lightroom. Next, find out how to touch up and enhance your photos with the online editor, and make photos searchable with sets and collections and by assigning photos to maps. The course also helps you navigate the Flickr privacy settings and shows how to participate in the Flickr community through comments, contacts, groups, and more.
The Flickr Online Editor has effects also. Those of you that have played with the mobile app know that it's fun to apply the different filters. We have them here too. They go by different names, and actually, I think they're different filters, but the idea is pretty much the same, and the fun quotient is pretty high. We'll take a shot that I think would accept different filters well. And we're going to go over here to effects and here they are at the top and this is kind of what I do with the flickr mobile app where I just kind of go through them and see how the different things look.
Kind of fun. I might end up going with that one. Appeals to the guy in me for some reason. Keytime Metropolis. I got a bunch of them here and you hit the little arrow here. I want to show you a soft focus. That could be nice for portaits or mood landscapes. You got straight black and white if you want to do that. Ventura. So some pretty nice stuff here. There's one that we want to show you. Look at this. So it pulled the date, this is when we're actually recording this, that part's cool of this metadata, way off. Your photographer friends might, call you on that one there. So I'm gona go with Dean, because I just like that effect. I'll go ahead, click Apply, and save it.
We're just going to replace the photo, save those changes, alright. There we go. So you can even make your product photography more interesting. So, those are the effects that are in the online editing app for Flickr.
