Venture into an entire world of captivating imagery and learn how to organize and share your best shots with others online. In this course, professional photographer Derrick Story guides you through the popular photo-sharing site Flickr, first introducing the Flickr mobile app, then demonstrating how to set up an account and upload images from your phone or common image editing applications such as iPhoto and Lightroom. Next, find out how to touch up and enhance your photos with the online editor, and make photos searchable with sets and collections and by assigning photos to maps. The course also helps you navigate the Flickr privacy settings and shows how to participate in the Flickr community through comments, contacts, groups, and more.
So I've had fun playing with the photo. And I ended up settling on the Aardvark filter for my image here. So let's add some Metadatas at Description tag, all that good stuff. And to do that, we go up here to the Next button, tap on it. And I can add a Title. So I'll just call this lenses. I'm not going to go with a Description right now, we'll just let that be. I think it describes itself, as a photo it's self-explanatory. But if I go down here to Advanced, we can get to some more goodies, so let me tap on Advanced right now.
And you see that the all important Tags are down here. And I do think those are important, so I'm going to tap on that, and we will add a tag. Let's add photography, and then I'm going to click the Plus button right there, and we've added a tag. And I would normally add quite a few more but this is not a typing lesson, so we'll just stop right there. And while we're down here, you can also see that the Safety Llevel from my photo is set the Safe. If you watched the preferences movie and you know that these are the defaults settings.
But as I mentioned in that movie, if I want I can override them for a particular photo. I just tap on this, you see that I can override them. I'm not going to, I'm just going to leave it as Safe right now. And I could add it to a set or create a set, tap on that. And you see that we have some sets, shall we add it to Camera Gear? Want to have some fun with that? Let's do that. Just tap on that, and now we'll go back up here to Done.
And we've added to the set. So, we're pretty much ready to go. In the next movie, I'm going to talk a little bit about the Public, or setting a different privacy setting for it, and I'll talk a little bit about Adding a Venue. So once we do those two things, then we'll be able to upload our photo.
