Venture into an entire world of captivating imagery and learn how to organize and share your best shots with others online. In this course, professional photographer Derrick Story guides you through the popular photo-sharing site Flickr, first introducing the Flickr mobile app, then demonstrating how to set up an account and upload images from your phone or common image editing applications such as iPhoto and Lightroom. Next, find out how to touch up and enhance your photos with the online editor, and make photos searchable with sets and collections and by assigning photos to maps. The course also helps you navigate the Flickr privacy settings and shows how to participate in the Flickr community through comments, contacts, groups, and more.
You can identify people in a shot. And I don't mean by description or title but actually the same way that in the previous movie, where we could do these little notes. Well we can do that with persons, too. I'll show you. Go back to our Photostream here. Let's go down here. Will identify me. So you pull up the photo, you go over to the Flickr dots, add a person right here.
If you use Facebook you're going to feel very comfortable with this, very similar. I'm going to start tagging my name and huh digital story so since I am a member of Flickr then it knew me. Now you could get a whole list and then you pick the right one. And now look at this. So it's right here and Derek will get a notice that he has been tagged in a photo. And I think that's the fun part, right, so that people that you identify in photos then they find out and then they come over and look, oh yeah, I like that shot that was fun, now let's go back here to our Photostream.
So let's say everything is just rolling along nicely, and then you get a note from Derrick, hey you know I don't really want to be tagged in that photo, is it alright if you undo that. So then scroll down here, you see where people in this photo right here we can remove that identification just by clicking on the red x right there. And now it's gone, and we come back up here, and there we go. Just like that. So it's a fun thing, it's a very social networking Facebook thing, and you have really a lot of control over it.
