Hi, I am James Talbot, and welcome to Flex Hero and Flash Builder Burrito Beta Preview. This is the first version of Flex to be targeted at mobile development and Flash Builder has new features to enable mobile development and debugging on Android, which is what this course will focus on. When the product is released, there were also be tools to develop Blackberry and iOS applications as well. In this brief course I'll be showing you how to set up your system for mobile development and then I will walk you through the creation of a simple mobile project.
We will test our application on the tools available on Flash Builder Burrito, the Android Emulator, and of course on the device itself. I'll explain how to set up and change mobile views and I'll demonstrate how to access remote data from the mobile application. We will also get into coding and productivity enhancements in Burrito with templates, code completion and Quick Assist. Finally, I'll talk about integration between Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder with round-trip graphics entity.
