In Flash Professional CS5: Character Animation, Dermot O' Connor explains the process of character animation in Flash, using nested symbols and motion and shape tweening to create believable characters. The course covers the process from start to finish, from rigging a character to creating a walk cycle animation. Along the way, Dermot demonstrates techniques such as animating eye blinks, head turns, and mouth movements during dialogue. Exercise files accompany the course.
If you are a premium member of the lynda.com Online Training Library, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. The exercise files are in the Exercise Files folder, which I have placed on the Desktop. You can store it wherever you like. There are files for most movies. They reside in subfolders named according to the chapters. It is not necessary for you to use these files. You can use files of your own in place of them. If you are a monthly or annual subscriber to lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files, but you can follow along with your own work.
