With the Motion Presets panel, you can apply pre-made animations to objects on the Stage or you can save and reuse your own animations. In this movie we will take a look at the Motion Presets panel and how you can use it to be more efficient when you are working in Flash. So, on this Stage I have an animation of an olive moving down. The olive bounces when it hits the ground. So let's say I wanted to make that animation apply to another olive. So I have an olive at the right side of the screen here. To save the animation as a Motion Preset, right-click your animation in the timeline and then choose Save as Motion Preset.
Now we can give this a name. I could call it Olive Drop or I can give it something more generic that might be more useful for another object later on. So I'll just call this Simple Bounce. So I'll click OK and then I am going to open the Motion Presets panel. If you don't see the Motion Presets panel, you can find it by going to Window > Motion Presets. In the Motion Presets panel you'll see Default Presets and Custom Presets. Let's expand the Default Presets folder. If you click on the different presets in there, you can preview animations.
So you can take these animations and apply them to different objects on the Stage. For this example, I am just going to use the animation that we already saved. But you can apply these pre-made animations in the exact same way. So I am going to close the Default Presets folder and then I am going to select the olive on the Stage, open the Motion Presets panel again and then I am going to click this Simple Bounce Preset that we created and then click Apply.
That's it. Flash now applied that animation to the olive on the Stage. So I'll test the movie and see what that looks like in the Flash Player. So you can see both olives falling down. So with the Motion Presets panel you can save and reuse animations.
