Creating a simple animation

Now, let's create a simple frame-by-frame animation. A frame-by-frame animation is an animation where you dictate what the animation will look like in each frame. You can do that by creating and modifying frames, keyframes, and blank keyframes. The first thing I am going to do is extend the timeline to frame 16. Notice I only have one frame in my animation to start out with. So to extend the timeline, I am going to deselect all frames by clicking at the bottom of the timeline, and then I am going to click-and-drag from frame 16 at the top layer all the way down to frame 16 at the bottom layer. So you can see I still have my mouse down and I have a blue span of frame selected. Now, I'll release my mouse button and then I'll press F5 on the keyboard to extend the timeline to frame 16. We are going to start this simple animation by only animating the pedals on the bike. So I actually don't need to see any other layers.
