Let's look at how to create a classic tween. So we have a start keyframe with an instance of a symbol on it. Now we'll just define the end keyframe. So I'll select frame 60 in the timeline and press F6 on the keyboard to insert a keyframe. Note that when you press that command, Flash creates a copy of the last keyframe. So I have a keyframe at frame 60 and frame 1. I'll go back frame 1 and move the girl on the bike to the left, outside of the frame. I'll hold Shift on my keyboard to constrain her position.
Now we'll create the classic tween by right-clicking in between my two keyframes and choosing Create Classic Tween. Flash then creates a classic tween, which I can tell is a success because of the purple background and the arrow. Let's preview this animation in the Flash Player. There it is! So to create a classic tween, you need an instance at one frame, and then another instance at a later keyframe.
Then you right-click in between them and choose Create Classic Tween.
