In this course, author Paul Trani demonstrates how to create, test, and publish a mobile app that works across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, and BlackBerry Tablet OS) and adapts to either a smartphone or tablet display. The course also tackles the issue of various screen sizes and density and how to scale and adjust content.
In this course, I'll show you how to design and develop for mobile and tablet devices using Flash. We'll start out by taking content that was made for the Web and really start building a game that dynamically fits both phones and tablets. I'll also show you how to take advantage of mobile specific functionality like the accelerometer and gestures. Then we'll jump right into publishing as well as even debugging on the device and customizing the app based on even the language setting of the device.
From there you'll learn optimization tips for graphics and ActionScript. I'll also show you how to create specifically for tablets, all while reusing code and assets from your mobile version. Lastly, the exciting part will be uploading the app to different app stores.
