- Now that we have the basics of the Image Blender interface covered, let's begin a project that will require us to use most of the features that this app has to offer. I'll tap the square in the lower-left corner, to go and get my first image. And this is gonna be this image of the stairs. And I'll tap the square on the lower-right to go get the top image and we'll pick this one of an aquarium. So, right off the bat I'm going to lower the opacity of the top layer because I want to address why the highlights in the stair image are so blown out. This was actually a deliberate exposure choice when I took the photograph with my iPhone. I used a camera app called Crow Camera that allowed me to change the exposure of the shot. And I purposely took this shot so that the highlights would be blown out because I know that I can use blown out highlights effectively in a composite. Specifically, I know that I can use them with a certain blend mode and quickly fill those blown out highlight areas…
