One common scripting pattern in FileMaker involves interacting with a user and then performing actions based on that user's responses. In this movie, I am going to discuss how to use the Show Custom Dialog Script Step to allow you to have your users tell the script which action to perform based on their response. Allowing user input is a great way to present the user with choices that will determine how the rest of the script will function. Now in the previous movies, we've already used the Show Custom Dialog Script Step and it's generally used to display a customizable dialog box that can provide the user with information or prompt him or her for input on their decision. Once this step has been added to your script, you can then customize the dialog that will be presented to the user. So let's add one of these to our Print Invoice or Receipt script.
