In Excel 2010: Pivot Tables in Depth, author Curt Frye provides comprehensive, hands-on tutorials on Excel PivotTables, including more advanced techniques such as using macros and the new PowerPivot add-in. The course shows how to connect and consolidate data sources to power PivotTables, sort and filter records, display data in a PivotChart, print tables and charts, and also introduces the DAX language for performing advanced summaries in PowerPivot. Exercise files are included with the course.
If you are a premium member of the lynda.com Online Training Library or if you're watching this tutorial on a DVD, you can have access to the exercise files used throughout this course. The exercise files are laid out within a series of folders and I have them in an Exercise Files folder on my desktop. So if I double click, you can see that I have a folder for each chapter and if I open a folder, say the one for Chapter 4, then you'll see that I have the files for that chapter. So you should have an easy time finding them.
If you're a monthly subscriber or annual subscriber to lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files, but you can follow along from scratch with your own assets. Let's get going.
