- In this worksheet called YTD and Percent Increase, we need to calculate the percent of increase of our profits from month to month or possibly the overhead or possibly sales. And is increase really the right word here? Maybe it isn't, so let's do some editing. It's going to be a change. I'm going to double-click in cell A6. I'm going to double-click right on the word Increase, and once editing has begun, I'm going to double-click again and simply put in the word Change. Now maybe I'm an optimist, and that's why I put in increase, but, on the one hand, we want our profits to increase but maybe not our overheard. Nevertheless, we've got our entry there. Now, percent change for January is not going to be meaningful because we have no previous number to compare it with, but looking into February here in cell C6, we need to calculate percent change.
