Creating Flash Web Sites in Encore CS4

Video: Why use Encore to create Flash web sites?

So your first question probably is and rightfully it should be, what the heck is Encore, and why would I want to use it to create Flash web sites? Well, Encore was originally created by Adobe as just a DVD authoring program. Now, it's expanded as a DVD authoring program, a Blu-ray Disc authoring program, and a Flash web site authoring program. Now, I realized this seems like an unlikely marriage, but it just works. In just a few short steps, we're going to create this web site, which actually is the same thing as a DVD. And we're going to make links with navigation, and these buttons here, Volume controls, Navigation controls.

And we're going to make links with navigation, and these buttons here, Volume controls, Navigation controls.

We go back to our menu, web Links, Slideshows, with transitions and movement, animation, and audio, and here is the Volume control for that audio. And all of this in just a few short steps in Encore. This will take you forever in Flash and you'd have to use a bunch of complicated programming steps to get it to do what you wanted. With Encore, we really can shave off hours of time in creating something really awesome and complex.
