There are lots of different options for sharing your photos in the Share pane of the Task panel. From here you can burn photos or photo projects to a CD or DVD directly from Elements without having to use third party disc burning software. If you click More Options, you see that you can also share your photos online on several different photo sharing sites, directly from Photoshop Elements. You also can order professional prints from this command. At the bottom of the Task panel is the Quick Share palette. Let's take a look at that. The Quick Share palette helps you quickly order multiple copies of prints, and have them sent directly to different recipients.
So for example, let's say you've attended a graduation, and you want to send the graduation photos to several members of your family. All you have to do is, select the photos that you want to send in the content area of the Organizer. I'm going to select two photos from the 14_03_quickshare sub-folder in the Chapter14 exercise files. I hold the Ctrl key, and select this one too. Then I'm going to drag those photos over to the Quick Share palette, and drop them on top of the name of one of the recipients, Mom Doe. That immediately creates an order that will be sent to Mom Doe, for these two photos. I've sent photos to Mom Doe in the past, so Elements automatically remembers her address from my contact book.
Let's say I also want to send these photos to Dad Doe. I'll drag the same two photos over here into the Quick Share palette in the empty row, and that opens the Order Prints Recipient dialog box. If I didn't have Dad Doe in my contact book, I would just type all the information here. But I can always look in my contact book by clicking Choose Existing Contact, select Dad Doe from there, and click OK. Then I'll click OK again, and Dad Doe is added to a list of people who is going to receive professionally printed copies of these photographs.
You can use Quick Share when you're sending photos to lots of people at the same time. It's just another feature in Photoshop Elements 7 that's designed to increase your productivity.
