Video: Help resources

Photoshop Elements provides several resources where you can get help on the product. As intuitive as it is, you're bound to get stumped or have questions along the way. Let's take a look at some of the help resources available in Photoshop Elements 10. I'm beginning this video in the Elements 10 Organizer. And I want to direct you to the very top of the screen where our menu Bar is located. And one of the options listed there is the Help menu. And if I click on that Help menu, you'll notice that I have several options that are available in here. First and foremost is the Elements Organizer Help. And you'll notice that there's a nice little shortcut there which is F1, that will take you to the Help Contents, that will allow you to find answers to common questions or how a certain feature works.

There's the Getting Started section, which helps you to get started with both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. And then, there's a Key Concept section. We have a Support section for both Photoshop and Premiere Element products. And there's also access to some Video Tutorials as well. If you really get into a tight jam, you can access the forum for Photoshop or Premiere Elements as well. Where you can go online and ask questions to other users just like yourself, who use the product on a day to day basis.

Oftentimes, you'll be able to get answers from these users, because they use the product all the time. You can get system information, you can check for updates that Adobe has released. But one of my favorite options is the Elements Inspiration browser. If we choose that option, once again, it asks you for your Adobe ID. So, if you haven't guessed already, and if you haven't already created an Adobe ID, definitely do so, as it's free and it offers you access to a lot of additional content not available without an Adobe ID.

So, I'm going to log in using my credentials. I'll go ahead and Sign In. And once I'm signed in, I'll just go ahead and click OK. This is going to open up a separate application, called the Photoshop.com Inspiration browser. And this is a great resource that is updated on a regular basis, that has video tutorials. And it offers tips on helping you to improve your use of the Photoshop Elements product. You can see down here, there are different areas where you can click on to see different options that are available. Shows you tips on how to do certain things.

And over here, there are tutorials a well that you can scroll through to see different options that are available. So, no matter what you're trying to do, give these help resources a try. They may get you out of a jam or provide you with inspiration for your next project.
