Another feature of Adobe's online service Photoshop.com is that you can use it to get fresh new content for use in your Photoshop Elements projects. I'm working here in the Full Edit workspace and I have a photo open. It doesn't really matter which photo you're using because that's just here for show, but what I want to show you is in the Content panel, which I'm going to open by going up to the Window menu and choosing Content. In the Content panel, there is artwork of various kinds, which I can see by going to this menu on the right and choosing Backgrounds or Frames or Graphics.
There are also Shapes and Text and Themes and lots of content that I can use to embellish my photo books, my photo collages, or individual photographs. The good news is that you're not limited to just the content that got installed with Photoshop Elements. Adobe plans to regularly make available fresh content that's stored on its Photoshop.com servers. I'm going to go to the Backgrounds area here and I'm going to scroll down and notice that there are some pieces of content here that have a gold sash on them.
The gold sash means that these particular backgrounds are available only to those members of Photoshop.com who have upgraded to the paid service. All of the other content is available to all members of Photoshop.com. If I want to apply some content to an image, I'll navigate to that content, say a frame. I'll select it and then I'll click Apply and you can see that that's added this blue frame around the image and added some blank canvas as well. If you're using content that's coming from Photoshop online, for example if you are plus member of that service and you're using one of the pieces of content with a gold band on it, it's going to be downloaded from Photoshop.com to your computer, so it may take a moment to apply and you do have to be connected to the Internet and have signed on as a Photoshop.com member in order to have access to that content.
So, do take advantage of the content that comes with your copy of Photoshop Elements, as well as that available through Adobe's online services.
