Creating a new project
So let's launch Premiere Elements 10. I'll go down here and click on Elements. It'll launch. If for some reason you don't see this menu, you can always go up here into the little house, click on it, and it will launch the Welcome menu. So let's go in and create a new project. So our first dialog box says New Project, and we're going to call it something unique, so I'm going to say My Big Movie. And next I want to save this somewhere, so we're going to browse. I'm going to go onto my Desktop. Create a new folder. So why am I doing this? Because I want to have all of my assets, which are my movies, my photos, any music, all my Premiere Elements files, I want them all in one location so that later I can take that whole folder and if I want to move it to another computer or to a hard drive or whatever, I can do that all with one quick drag. I am going to name this My Big Movie so I can search and find it, and we're going to press Create and Choose. Next, I want to change my setting. So…
