Adjusting clip length in the Sceneline

So we have our clips in the Sceneline, but if we want to make them shorter or longer? Well, let's take a look how. So with my three clips in the Sceneline and if I just scrub through them here, you will see I go here one clip to this next clip, to the next clip. But maybe as I was editing, I just found some clips I thought were good and didn't really look at the length, and now they are kind of lagging along and not really telling my story as I would like it to do. So what can I do? Well, as you can see, within my project window here, I have these two handles that represent the in and the out of the clip. Now if I started the clip from the very beginning, I'm pretty much stuck with that intro area. But if I made it shorter than it was when I brought it in the project, I have room here to extend it or to make it smaller. All of this is done in what's called nondestructive editing, meaning you're not actually shortening or making that clip longer; it stays the same. The reference that…
