Now that we've looked at how to create a todaysmeet chat session, let's go ahead and talk about how we can use this inside of the education environment. Let's start by focusing on how students can benefit from a todaysmeet chat session. I love to have students do real time movie discussions in class. Often, watching a movie is a very passive activity for students. They're simply sitting and just taking in information. When you add something like a todaysmeet chat session, it becomes an active engagement experience where students are challenging the ideas in the movie as well as the ideas of their peers. Classroom debates are another great way to increase rigor in the classroom. Here, students can go in and type up their responses. I've also seen today's meet used as a 'fishbowl'.
