Taking advantage of block regions

A Drupal page has traditionally been sort of like a solar system with a main content here as the sun and all this other content circling around it. Drupal 7 changed that in two ways. First of all the sun turns out to be just another planet and the system is a lot more lively than before, with far more planets on which the content can live. These planets, which are actually called blocks in Drupal, are also easier to handle. This video shows you the way. There are a few different ways to administer blocks. For one, you could hover your cursor over them when you're the administrator and then go to the block configuration page. That will let you configure any individual block, but if you want to configure them all, the place to go is Structure and Blocks. The way this page is set up is it lists regions here in bold, Header, Help and so forth, and then in each of these regions it says which blocks are in that region.
