Now that we've covered how to use a variety of factors to create hierarchy in your projects, it's time to put it to the test. We're going to make this a black and white challenge. No color and no images. We're just going to focus on the properties of type itself to create hierarchy. In the Exercise files for this course, you'll find a folder with a word file containing the text for this creative challenge. I used InDesign for my solutions but you can use whatever design software where you would normally use. Your creative challenge is to design an announcement for performances of Shakespeare's comedy, Much Ado About Nothing. Your format can be vertical, horizontal or square. The proportions are up to you. But no fancy folding or cut-outs, just a one-sided single surface. I just want you to focus on different ways of creating hierarchy.
