The first artist I want to share with you is an artist by the name of Kate Bingaman-Burt and she's from Oregon. The same state that I drive from. She's right up the freeway from me in Portland, specifically, and what I love about her drawings is, it's just drawing for the sake of drawing. She interacts with things everyday as she goes about her day, and she's made it a really fun, creative habit of capturing whatever that is. In this case, it's a black ring. She does a good job of archiving all these things by dating them, so she can look back years later and know exactly when she saw it and how she captured it. So this is a good example of just simple drawing, black and white, and she had fun with the lettering and the little figure of the ring. And whatever it is, she'll draw it. So here's just Scotch tape, just a tape dispenser. She even goes to the trouble of putting down how much that cost at that time, which I thought was a little interesting. Here's the Quaker Oats guy.
