Day 16 solution: Drawing design

- How did your owl graphic come out? Is there an area you think you did better than another? Does is look like a branded mark you would see used as an actual logo? Does identifying shapes when drawing make more sense to you now? Let me walk you through how I approach a project like this. So we all started with the reference sheet of the owls here. And the whole idea of using reference, even when you're drawing something iconic, is that the real world will guide you in discerning the shapes that are going to make your graphic more effective, in this case, developing an iconic image of an owl. So, as we look at an owl, we'll look at the one in the bottom left corner of the sheet. Look at the top of its head, how the feathers flare out on the left and right and it kind of dips down in the middle right where the eyes are. We're going to pay attention to that shape and we're going to translate that into a drawn form. That's all we're doing here. We'll start out, we'll dip down, and it will…
