So now that I've completed the foreground with essentially all the warm colors blocked in, let's start on the background. I've cleaned my palettes, got some fresh water, and we'll start with cool tones because we really want the background to sit back in space. And the only way to do that is to keep the color cool, but it cannot be so far removed from the color in the foreground that they don't relate. So what I'll do is I'll mix a little bit of the blue that I used to create the green tones so relates to the foreground. With a little bit of warmth just a tiny bit of warmth. And the first thing I'll do is the darkest elements in the background which is the Eiffel Tower and the sort of surrounding shrubbery trees, and buildings. And I'll block that in as a solid shape. Again, I'm keeping this really, really simple because it's in the background. We wouldn't see all the details of this anyway. But I want to get the basic shape of the Eiffel Tower and, what, its trees that, and building…
