James White: My name is James White, and I'm a Visual artist and Graphic designer, and I run Signal Noise Studio out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. So one of my recent projects that I've taken on, has been illustrating WWE wrestlers form the late 80s and early 90s. I really wanted a small project a small series of prints of something that would be kind of open ended and on going and fun and brightly colored and something that was really taking cues from my childhood. There was a lot of gimmicks in wrestling and that's what I loved about it. Being a kid and being into the WWE back then it was just, it was, it was big guys with gimmicks and I love that. So I knew that when I was designing these little characters I wanted to play up their gimmicks. I wanted Koko B ware with the parrot, you know, and just all, everything that made these characters real.
