Here's some statistics. A presentation is 7% word choice, 38% vocal delivery, and a whopping 55% body language and visuals. Within three seconds, people will decide whether you're worth listening too. It's just human nature. We make these assessments based on our immediate reaction to your appearance. Here are a few things to think about to make the best first impression possible. Posture is interpreted as a measure of your authority, credibility, and strength. Eye contact and professional pleasantries such as a confident handshake instill trust. Grooming shows your attention to detail and signals how you want to be perceived. I suggest you look stylish and tailored. Especially in the design field, what we wear makes a statement. For women, I recommend avoiding low-cut blouses, tight clothing, short skirts, and extreme heels even if it's fashionable.
