Creating an intersection

Intersections are quite possibly the most complex form of design that you can be faced with when designing roads. In this video, you'll learn how to create intersections using functionality in Civil 3D, which automates and simplifies the process. I'll start by launching the Intersection command and that's found on the Home tab of the ribbon. Under Intersections > Create Intersection. Next, I'll choose a location where two alignments intersect. And that launches a wizard with a series of dialogs that guide me through the process of creating an intersection. And one thing I'd like to discuss and point out as we progress through this is that the Create Intersection command is actually very easy, if you accept the defaults. So if you have someone in your office who's an intersection expert and have them set up the software for you, this can be very easy.
