Hi. I'm Andy Needham and welcome to Up and Running with the Foundry's Camera Tracker for After Effects. In this course we'll take a look at the best practices for using the Camera Tracker in After Effects to track the camera motion in a video clip and solve a 3D representation of that camera. Once you have 3D camera data for a shot, you can have all sorts of fun composing objects into that shots 3D space. I'll start by showing you how to track and solve a basic shot by walking you through the Camera Tracker work flow.
Next we'll take a look at a technique through a finer camera solve using garbage mats to focus the Tracker on specific parts of a shot. Finally, we'll see how you can place objects into a shot to test the 3-D Tracking Solve. We'll be covering all these features plus plenty of other tools and techniques, like using the Track Finder tools to identify and remove bad tracking data.
