Using the exercise files

If you are a Premium member of the lynda.com Online Training Library or if you are watching this tutorial on a disc, you know how this works. You have access to the exercise files used throughout the title, but with this series we are doing things a little differently. We are offering free support documentation to all members. In this title we have Links and Resources. This document refers to any Resources or URL links that we use throughout the title.

The second document is a Project Overview, explaining the objectives, what you will learn when you finish this project, and the reasons why we are doing this project and how it connects to what is being practiced out in industry. The third document is an actual step-by- step guide. Print this out at home and you can follow along step-by- step with me as we do this project. The fourth document is a quiz. Just a little fun document to test your knowledge and to make sure that you understand the basic and most important concepts we cover throughout this title.

If you are a Premium member or watching this on a disc, you have access to the complete exercise files. I would recommend starting with the Style Guide start folder if you want to follow along all the way through. Hold down your Option or Alt key and copy this folder to the Desktop. Select the name and rename it. Something meaningful. I usually put my two initials here. Now you have your own personalized copy of the files and can follow along with me in the project.

If you just want to jump in the middle of the project, you can jump to any of these folders. They are numbered according to what we are discussing. Find the folder corresponding to the movie, but be sure to define your Dreamweaver site using that folder. We also have a Style Guide final folder that you can use to see the finished project. This will give you an idea where we are going in this project and what we hope to accomplish. Last, but not least, you can also just follow along from scratch using your own assets and creating your own folder structure.
