CSS enables you to control the look and layout of a web page much more precisely than you could with HTML alone, but it can be time-consuming to learn. In this workshop, expert developer Candyce Mairs makes styling a quick and easy process, walking you through the process of adding content to a web page and using CSS to position that content. Candyce explains CSS positioning concepts like the CSS box model, floats, and clears and demonstrates how HTML and CSS work together to create the look of your web page. By speaking the same language as the browser, you can learn to work with the browser to place content accurately and easily.
(music playing) Hello, and welcome, to this course on exploring CSS Positioning. My name is Candyce Mairs and I'm an Adobe certified expert, and instructor, Adobe moderator, and web developer. CSS offers control of the look and layout of a webpage. That cannot be accomplished using HTML alone. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to show you the ins and outs of this important concept. This course focuses on positioning with CSS.
While teaching you general CSS concepts that apply to everything within your web pages. We begin with a web page layout created in a graphics program. All text and images needed to build the web page within this course are provided. So we can focus on the process of positioning that content using CSS. After completing this course you will have the tools needed to position your own web page layouts. So welcome to this course on CSS Positioning.
