Over the course of your career, you're likely to have many bosses. And unfortunately, a few of them might not be that good. In fact, there are many ways a boss might be difficult. Here's one of the most difficult, the self-important boss. This is a person who has a very strong positive self image in a problematic kind of way. Usually, their growth in the organization is limited due to their disposition towards arrogance and self-importance. Their inflated sense of self will lead to a host of negative behaviors, making them pretty easy to identify. Consider these tell-tale signs of a self-important manager. First, they tend to think that somehow they caused every idea and win that happens at the office. When someone else says something interesting or does something amazing, they seem to be instantly able to tell you why something they did actually caused that person to come up with the idea or win the account or whatever the outcome might be.
