Coding HTML email is not terribly difficult to learn. Let's talk about what skills you will need to get started. First you'll need to know basic HTML. This includes how to create links and how to make text bold or italics. You'll also need to know how to create tables in HTML, for example, how to create rows and how to create columns. Next you'll need to know how to code a little bit of CSS or Cascading Style Sheets. You'll also need some skills with image editors.
For example, how to use an Eyedropper Tool to extract color information, and how to use a Marquee Tool to measure the height and width of an image. The skills you need to code in HTML email are not really technical; the challenge is in putting together different parts of any email so they'll display great in all email software. Let's show you the finished project we'll work on in this course.
