In this video, we continue to code the multicolumn product email. Specifically, I want to talk about images in HTML email. So far, to make it easier to maintain your HTML email, we've placed our p tags, or paragraph tags, on a single line, as well as our anchor tags. Images are a little bit different, however. If you put an image on the same line within an HTML table data cell, Lotus Notes, and older versions of HTML email software, will add a gap.
So it's best to in-line all of your image tags within the table data cell, so that it is a single string of copy. The second point to make about images in HTML emails is to point out that all images should be placed on a web server available over the Internet. This will ensure that your images can display whenever someone opens up your email. In the next video, we will finish off our multicolumn product email by adding inline CSS styles.
