The legal language: Terms and conditions

The Terms and Conditions copy I'm recommending you include may seem like a bunch of legal mumbo-jumbo. But it's a very important part of your Designer-Client Agreement, because it protects you. You should have a working knowledge of this language so that you can include relevant clauses or legal paragraphs in your agreements. You can't put something into your contracts that you yourself don't understand. Imagine how dumb you'll feel if a client asks you to explain something and you have no idea what that clause means. So, don't skip over this part. Remember, this is your contract and it's all about setting up a deal that benefits you. There are many items that can be covered under the heading Terms and Conditions.
