This course provides an overview of modeling, animating, and rendering 3D graphics in the open-source software Blender 2.6. Beginning with a tour of the Blender interface, author George Maestri shows how to create and edit basic objects, work with modifiers and subdivision surfaces, and apply materials and textures. The course also demonstrates lighting 3D scenes, setting up and using cameras, animating objects, and assembling basic character rigs.
Blender on the Macintosh OS X Operating System works pretty much the same as the Windows Operating System. They've made pains to keep the interface consistent through our versions, but the keyboard of the Macintosh is a little bit different than the PC keyboard, in that it doesn't have an Alt key. So to substitute for the Alt key we use the Option key on the Mac. So for example Ctrl+Alt+Q on the PC will be Ctrl+Option+Q and that will put you into an out of quad view.
So just remember to substitute the Option key on the Mac for the Alt key.
