Sewing our cloth together - Blender Tutorial

Sewing our cloth together

With our open edges already created in the scene then, let's move forward and take a look at how we can turn them into sewing springs. And, of course, once we've done that, we will also want to take a look at how we can use the controls that Blender makes available in order to create a finished cloth item. Of course, do keep in mind from our previous exercise that we are here working with gravity disabled in the scene, at least for the time being. With our cloth object selected then, let's come over to the Physics tab and open up the sewing springs rollout. And now, let's take a look at the controls we will be making use of. The first thing we will need to do here is actually enable the use of sewing springs in the scene. If we don't check this option, and especially since we have gravity disabled, running a simulation at this moment in time would produce no change at all in our cloth geometry. It is after all, this option that will automatically turn the open edges we have created…
