- In this video we'll use the 3DPRINT command in AutoCAD to export our model. You can use the 3DPRINT command as long as you're using AutoCAD 2014 or later. If you're using an earlier version, check out the next video, which will cover the legacy options for you. Since we're printing our 3D model in more than one piece, we're going to do this in phases. First off, let's get the UCS in the right orientation. We want it to be in the world orientation. UCS, Enter, W, Enter, and see that now the X and Y plane are parallel with the ground plane. I'll use the LAYFRZ command to freeze the roof. So in our first export, we're going to include the house and the base, and we'll do the roof next. Let's type 3DPRINT, Enter. AutoCAD has pretty good 3D printing documentation, so if you want to learn more, that's worth checking out. We are going to click Continue. We'll draw a bounding box around all of our objects, and click Enter. And then we'll wait while it processes. All right, let's take a look…
