Adding cable trays

This is where it gets fun, items like cable tray used to be so difficult to do in 3D, that basically nobody even attempted it. Sure, we'd draft it in using lines and arcs and offsets but, even that process took forever with very little to gain. This video will demonstrate how to add cable tray, we'll set a few different offsets, and we'll configure it as we put it in. To get started, let's jump into our MEP electrical drawing. Let's go to the home tab. Let's select the Cable Tray button. Once we do that we're going to get an Add Cable Tray dialogue. I like to slide it out of the way. Let's change our width to 12 inches. Let's change our height to three inches. For the elevation, let's keep it at ten feet. I'm going to click into my drawing area, I'm going to come into my Electrical room. I'm going to pick a spot right about here, and I'm going to start drawing my cable tray. Our compass is turned on, even though our Ortho is turned off, it's going to snap the even increments. I'm…
