Packaging your data with eTransmit
In this video you'll learn how to create a package that contains your drawing file and all of its dependencies, so that you can email it as an attachment or upload it via FTP or use a file transfer service. Open the Architectural2 sample file in the Chapter 16 folder. This file contains an xref. Namely the furniture drawing is xrefed into it. Type etransmit, this utility program will automatically package not only the current drawing file, but all of it's dependencies so that you can send this information to a colleague that also has a copy of Autocad and the permission to go ahead and edit your source files. So let's go ahead and see what we have here. We have the architectural2 drawing, we have the color dependant plot style table, and under external references, we have the furniture drawing. Click here on transmittal setups. And then modify. This dialogue box gives you lots of options about exactly what you want to send, and how you want to do it. Here, I want to create a zip file…
