Configuring a viewport

In this video, we will configure a viewport to scale. Open the Architectural2 sample file. And observe that when you move the cursor across the entire screen, the cursor stays the same. This is an indication that you are in paper space. Double-click inside the viewport and the behavior changes. Try moving the cursor now and you'll see that it's the cross-hair symbol while it's in the viewport but it changes to an arrow when it goes outside of the viewport. This is an indication that you're in the model space of this viewport. When you're in here, you can pan or zoom, and manipulate the geometry that's depicted here. In order to get this drawing to print out at a particular graphic scale, we have to come down here and choose that scale from this list. The scales at the top of the list are metric scales. And the ones at the bottom are using the feet and inches system. I'm not sure which scale to select off-hand. Let's try quarter inch scale. That is a little small. Perhaps the drawing…
