Alex Lifeson's stage position
During the show you'll see Alex up here, he'll be playing his guitar, he'll be singing into his microphone. This is his pedal board system that he uses to play back the samples from the offstage racks. This is his guitar pedal board. During the show when he wants to switch from one amp to another, or from one sound to another, or turn on effect, or turn off an effect, he can control all of that through these foot switches. As well as a volume pedal and a wah, and when he wants to turn on the Piezo guitar, which is the acoustic sound, he just hits that button right there, which there are actually two of. During one song during the set, he actually does play this piano. It is a piano sound, but it's coming from the samples off stage, exactly like all the foot pedals do.
