Ordering prints from the online print service is pretty easy in both iPhoto and Aperture and they're very similar. I'll show you iPhoto right now. I think it has a bit of an easier interface. So, I'll select a couple of images. I'll hold down the Command key to select multiples, and then I go to Share Menu and I go to Order Prints. It brings up this dialog box and I basically enter how many I want of each one and iPhoto will keep a running total for me.
Make sure that you order enough so that your prints cost more than your postage, so you want to batch order your prints. And then you click the Buy Now button and they take you to the Shopping Cart and off you go. Now, the only difference, I would say with the Aperture print ordering, is that it takes you to the Shopping Cart first, you log in with your Apple ID and then you get to the details of ordering the prints. So, they sort of do it in reverse.
I actually like the iPhoto Shopping Cart method better. I recommend it for ease of shopping experience, but you can go either route and both are pretty simple.
