This course covers the entire photographic workflow in Apple Aperture, from import to enhancement to output. Author Derrick Story covers organizing image collections with star ratings, labels, and Smart Albums, and using the image editing tools to adjust exposure, retouch flaws, and correct color balance issues. And one of the most noteworthy features in Aperture is explored in detail: its ability to store video clips alongside the stills from digital cameras, then combine them to create stunning multimedia slideshows.
This course was updated on 10/03/12. Updated movies cover the features added through version 3.3, including Retina display support, iCloud photo sharing, streamlined integration with iPhoto, and much more.
In the world of printing, I have one more option I want to show you. When we send something out from Aperture, you can actually order your prints from Aperture. So, if you don't have an inkjet printer and you want someone else to do the printing for you, that's not a problem. All you have to do is go up to File, go over here to Order Prints, and we are going to get a nice explanatory view here. You have to be connected to the Internet. And remember, when you are ordering prints, you are sending fairly large files out, because they are printing files.
So, the better the Internet connection, the more pleasant your experience will be. And right away, they give you the pricing on this stuff, and you can see it's not bad at all. The pricing is pretty good. In terms of an account, you have to have some sort of Apple account, and it can be an iTunes Store account or a MobileMe account. You would enter your information right here. If you don't have any account at all, which would surprise me for an Aperture user, but I am sure it happens, probably more than I realize, you can Create an Account right here on the fly.
Once you do that, it will actually walk you through this whole process. These are all the steps of the order. It's very simple, and then a few days later the prints show up in your mailbox, and you are happy.
