Q: Have there been any changes to Apache, PHP, or MySQL that would affect a user viewing the Setting Up PHP 5 for Windows with Apache or IIS course?
A: There is some updated information pertaining to Apache working with PHP 5.

In the tutorial, author Kevin Yank is using an older version of PHP and the newer PHP version has a file name change. When displaying the file in the browser, "phpinfo.php" will show a screen with the code <?php phpinfo();?> .

In editing the httpd.conf file, under "LoadModule," the author is shown typing the line:

 LoadModule php5_module c:/php/php5apache2.dll

When attempting to restart the server, Apache will give an error message stating that it cannot find the module php5apache2. This can be corrected by using the new PHP file name:

 LoadModule php5_module c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll

Apache then loads efficiently and smoothly. The correct information for the code <?php phpinfo();?> is then displayed in the browser.
