Now when Adobe move to Creative Cloud, one of the beautiful features was the fact that you could actually get new features, more quickly through smaller point updates available in the cloud. For our AfterEffects CC essential training course, obviously this would complicate things, because if a new point release came out that changed feature sets, then we would need to update the training accordingly. So it's important, when you're dealing with After Effects CC, that you actually have the most recent version up to date on your system.
That way, when we update our training for the latest version of those point updates, we are all on the same page. As I record this, my after effects is up to date, with After Effects CC. I encourage you to make sure that your software is up to date. Now, the easiest way to do this is to go to the programs folder on the PC, or the applications folder on your Mac, and then open the Adobe Creative Cloud application. In there, you want to go to the apps section and under the apps, you want to make sure After Effects CC is up to date.
Now, if it's not, you'll get a blue Update button, just like I'm getting here for my version of Illustrator. Now like I said before, your system may look completely different, because you may have different applications that need updating. But this is where you go to make sure that your running on the latest version available for Creative Cloud for After Effects CC.
